We lost the stroller on our first day in Italy
We landed in Italy at night on July 29, 2024. We hadn't managed to sleep on the plane, and the car rental was still closed, so we waited for it to open while Leia slept in the stroller.

We decided to leave Rome for the way back, when we would be returning the car: at the end of July it's too hot there. We stayed outside the city, during the day all three of us finally got some sleep, and in the evening we drove to the nearest town: we bought Italian SIM cards and went to a black sand beach.

That same first day was also when we lost the stroller. We wheeled it to the parking lot, put Leia in the car, and drove off, while the stroller stayed behind on the sidewalk. The next evening we still tried to find it, but in the end we ordered a new one on Amazon with delivery to Orvieto. The order took some effort too: it seems you need a European account for it.
For three days we lived without a stroller. On July 31 we moved on, and Leia's nap caught up with her right in the car. We stopped in Viterbo, a medieval town where popes were once elected.

On the way to Orvieto we stopped to look at Civita di Bagnoregio, a ghost town founded by the Etruscans 2500 years ago, which people began leaving after an earthquake in the seventeenth century. The only way in is on foot across a long bridge, and it was 39° outside, so we admired it from a distance, from a viewpoint. There were some brave souls who went across the bridge anyway.
On August 1 we reached Orvieto, a fortress town on a hill. The pickup point employee had just gone on vacation, so our order was handed to us at the bar nearest to it. The new stroller turned out to be lighter than the old one and rides smoothly: it barely shakes on the cobblestones.

That same evening we took it for a walk to the cathedral and went around three viewpoints. Near the second one there was a small playground, and at the third, where we went to watch the sunset, a bigger playground with swings, slides, and climbing frames.
