Glacier: rodents, mountain goats, and morning coffee with a lake view
In July 2017 we drove from Spokane to Glacier National Park in Montana. The night before, we stayed at a free campground on a riverbank, and the next day we were already in the park. On the way we crossed into another time zone: the time difference with our family in Russia became 9 hours.

Rodents and keys
In the park we were so charmed by the rodents that we nearly lost our car keys.

Bear grass
We also came across some unusual flowers — bear flowers. In English they are called bear grass. The name seems to come from the fact that it grows in the same places where bears live, and bears eat the soft bases of its leaves.

Goats and a marmot
We also saw a mountain goat — a muscular one.

And this marmot wasn't afraid to have its picture taken.

The campground and the morning
At the campground in the park we came across a rabbit. The next morning we drank our coffee with a view like this.

Then we headed toward Yellowstone and watched the sunset already on the road.

We didn't get to describe the park in detail in the chat until a week later, by then from Rapid City. As for Yellowstone, that's a separate story.
